September 2007 - Standard Bank Soweto Wine Festival

The Standard Bank Soweto Wine Festival which was held on 7 & 8 September 2007 was a phenomenal success, proving that the annual event is fast becoming a favourite in the local winelover’s diary.  Browns of Rivonia has supported the festival since its inception in 2005 and was pleasantly surprised at the high turnout which has steadily increased each year.  Top wineries such as Meerlust, Cederburg, Welbedacht, Beaumont and Kanonkop offered their time and distinguished wines to this event which seeks to expose the members of the Soweto community to a wine culture amidst an evening of pure entertainment.

Browns is so hopeful of the positive impacts of the festival on the local community that they have entered into a contract to continue supporting the event for a further three years.
